Why East Liberty?

Nov 11, 2015 | 232 Creative News

If you read our first blog post (and if you didn’t, click here), you got an idea of the inception of 232 Creative.

One of the main questions Ryan and I get is, “Why East Liberty?”

During our search for office space, our ideal space was:

  • Close to some hustle and bustle (new companies, shops, restaurants, etc.)
  • Surrounded by other entrepreneurial-minded people and organizations
  • Avoiding all Pittsburgh tunnels (hey, if you lived in Pittsburgh, you understand it)

After touring several locations throughout the city (as if we were on House Hunters), we visited The Cube Creative Space and The Beauty Shoppe in East Liberty, and we quickly knew that was our spot to set up shop.

Our office building sits in the heart of East Liberty and is within walking distance of countless local attractions, shops and restaurants in the neighborhood, Shadyside and Bakery Square.

The Cube (a former school building transformed into a co-op work space) houses more than 20 companies, and includes every type of business from urban designers and planners, solar panel service providers, to other marketing service providers (like 232 Creative). Given the entrepreneurial feel of our community, we can’t help but be inspired every morning we walk through the doors.

…Oh, and the coffee – they offer free coffee from Zeke’s Coffee Shop.

There are 23 more reasons we selected this location, but we’ll save those for another blog day.

In the mean time, if you’re in the neighborhood, give us a shout and we’ll do lunch.
